Update from the Winchester Porchfest Committee
As you can imagine the First Annual Winchester Porchfest scheduled for June 13, 2020 has been postponed due to the pandemic. We are disappointed, but safety first.
However, that doesn't mean that you can't still fill the air with music! Porchfest encourages you to commit Random Acts of Music (RAoM). We encourage you to practice safe distancing while making music on your porch or yard for friends and family, especially on June 13.
If you record your Random Acts of Music performance and want to share it with us:
- Upload your recording to your favorite social media site (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram)
- Send us a link to it. We will put it up on our website
We are trying to figure out if we will be able to plan Porchfest for this Fall but it is too soon to predict. There definitely will be Porchfest sooner or later, whether it is this Fall or next June.
Music will reign!
Porchfest is organized and run by local volunteers and is funded in part by a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council.
Your Winchester Porchfest Committee, aka "The PorchStars":
- Fred Yen (Winchester Farmers Market)
- Heidi Rosenfeld and Laurie Russell (Winchester Community Music School)
- George Gilmer and Nadeem Baba (Winchester High School students)
- Shukong Ou - Winchester Cultural Council
- Salma Abounadi, Omar Baba, Shiva Barton, (civilians)
Welcome to the FIRST ever Winchester Porchfest!

Join us for a festive day of music and performance all around Winchester.
Winchester Porchfest seeks performers, venues (porches and patios, driveways and parking lots), and we welcome everyone who wants to celebrate music. Volunteer to help make it happen, or spend the day being a great audience with your family and friends.
- Music of all kinds
- Story telling
Performances every hour from 12 – 5pm, followed by a Grand Finale from 5 – 6pm (details TBA).
Open to all ages, and preference given to Winchester-affiliated groups.
We hope you have a great time at Porchfest. By agreeing to perform, host, volunteer and/or attend Porchfest you also agree to participate at your own risk (not that we are anticipating any issues). You agree to hold performers, hosts, volunteers and/or organizers free of any claim for damages in the event of accident, injury or disappointment.
